The haunted house was put on each year entirely by volunteers, which usually numbered over 200. Money raised from ticket sales and donations were given to the local camp in which the haunted house was located, other community organizations, and scholarships for local graduating high school seniors. Volunteers would work at the property from April through December. Volunteers mainly consisted of local families, young and old, that all worked for free but were said to enjoy working together and made many memories. The attraction closed in 2019 after 27 years and has been left to fall into disrepair. In May 2021, the old haunted house was set for demolition.
